You did a great job!

Congratulations to all those who participated in our summer reading program Dig Into Reading!
In total you read 6,289 books and for those who logged by minutes, 41,882 minutes! That's a lot of reading. You should be proud of yourselves- you've probably improved your reading skills or at the very least, maintained them. We had so much fun with you in all our programs and we hope you enjoyed all the prizes you won and playing Plinko. We promise to bring Plinko back again next year. Soon we will be planning next summer's reading program and we are getting excited. Stop by the Children's Room and tell us all about your new classes and teachers- we would love to hear from you.
Don't be a stranger- we have more fun and educational programs for you to enjoy as fall and the  holidays draw near. Thanks again for a great summer!

3 Questions with children's author Greg Foley

Author Greg Foley answers three questions he has always wanted to be asked. I’ve got a great idea for a children’s book – What should I do next?  Like many children’s authors, this is something I get asked all the time. My advice to anyone who wants to write children’s books, is to start with a children’s writing workshop. Doesn’t matter if it’s a weekend course, online or a night class (my fav). It’s where I started, learning the most basic rules and practices. One of the best tips I received was not to share my work with friends and family, because you’ll just get compliments.
