The Summer Reading Club is Half Over!

We are at the end of week four of our fabulous summer reading club and we have given out a ton of prizes!
Those of you who are participating have done a great job of reading from week to week. We enjoy hearing about what books you have read and why you liked or didn't like them. We love seeing you in the daily programs we offer that involve fun and learning! We're making science a hands-on, interactive experience for everyone- from the littlest child to those entering fifth grade. If you haven't joined us, it's not too late!
Come on down to the Children's Room and get started. There's still plenty of fun to be had!!!

3 Questions with children's author Greg Foley

Author Greg Foley answers three questions he has always wanted to be asked. I’ve got a great idea for a children’s book – What should I do next? Like many children’s authors, this is something I get asked all the time. My advice to anyone who wants to write children’s books, is to start with a children’s writing workshop. Doesn’t matter if it’s a weekend course, online or a night class (my fav). It’s where I started, learning the most basic rules and practices.
